Together for Diversity: Empowering Youth in Berlin
Project Description
The ‘Together for Diversity’ project in Berlin provides a vibrant platform for children, teenagers, and young adults to combat racism and discrimination. Through creative and collaborative activities, we aim to bolster democratic values and foster an inclusive society. Our efforts are concentrated in culturally rich districts such as Neukölln, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, and Tempelhof-Schöneberg, which are known for their diverse populations and significant number of residents with migration and refugee backgrounds.
Project Objectives
- Empowerment: Equip young individuals with creative tools to spearhead social change.
- Inclusion: Ensure everyone can participate equally, irrespective of their origin, gender, or disability.
- Democracy and Diversity: Cultivate a democratic ethos through active participation from the youth.
Target Groups
- Children and Teenagers (12-15 years): Focus on those facing discrimination due to migration, refugee background, or disabilities.
- Teenagers and Young Adults (16-23 years): Support integration into society and employment.
- Social Media Community: Engage a broad audience online to spread awareness about racism, inclusion, and diversity.
